The New Year at Codimite began in the best way possible with all of us coming together. By 9:30 AM, the office was buzzing with excitement, laughter, and hope as we kicked off 2025 as a team.
The celebrations began with the traditional kiri utharanawa (boiling milk), symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings. As the milk bubbled over, everyone watched with hopeful smiles and sharing quiet wishes for the year ahead. It was one of those moments where you could feel the energy of a fresh start in the air. Following this, we lit a small oil lamp. It was a heartfelt moment that set the tone for the day.
Then came the best part: the New Year Table. Plates lined with kesel kola leaves were piled high with kiribath (milk rice), perfectly spiced fish curry, and a mix of traditional sweets like mun kavum, kokis, kavum, and asmi. We also had soft slices of butter cake and sweet bananas to round it all off. Sitting together, enjoying every bite, and sharing stories made the meal even more special.
But the day wasn’t just about food, it was about fun too! After we were all happily full, the office turned into a space for games, laughter, and catching up.
By lunchtime, we wrapped up the celebrations and surprised everyone with a half day off to spend time with family and friends, keeping the festive vibe alive.
It was a perfect start to 2025, filled with good food, great company, and a sense of togetherness that reminds us why we love what we do here at Codimite. Here’s to another incredible year ahead!
Happy New Year from all of us!
