CONNECT 2026: Strengthening Connection Beyond Code for the Future Ahead

On December 17, 2025, at Shangri-La, Codimite gathered for CONNECT 2026 a celebration named with purpose. While the calendar still read 2025, the spirit of the evening was already rooted in what lies ahead. This was not merely a year-end event; it was a step into the future we are building together.

The evening reinforced a core belief at Codimite: technology may drive our work, but people drive our progress. The theme of the evening was chess, and it felt deeply symbolic. Every organisation, much like a chessboard, thrives on strategy, trust, and collaboration. No single piece defines the game. At Codimite, every individual matters, every move counts, and success is always collective.

A Night of Energy, Joy, and Presence

CONNECT 2026 was alive with celebration. Magic performances brought moments of wonder, music filled the space with warmth, and the live band performance gave the night its rhythm and soul.

But what made this evening truly special, for me, was perspective.

This was my second time attending a Codimite year-end event. Experiencing CONNECT again as part of the team, was incredibly meaningful. This year, I felt the event was planned with even greater care, intention, and heart thoughtfully crafted to bring everyone together.

From shared laughter to spontaneous conversations, it was a rare kind of night one that gently made us forget our phones and simply be present with each other.

Adding to the warmth of the evening was a Secret Santa, which brought out childlike excitement, surprise, and genuine smiles. It was fun, light-hearted, and deeply human a reminder that connection often lives in the simplest moments.

The night flowed effortlessly, filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of energy that can’t be planned, only felt.

Celebrating Those Who Inspire Us

One of the most fulfilling moments of the night was seeing peers receive the recognition they truly deserve. Awards were presented across several categories, honouring dedication, leadership, and impact.

The MVP Award stood out, not only for its prestige, but for the pride it inspired across the room. The recipient was awarded a Singapore tour with accommodation, the opportunity to witness the Formula 1 World Championship at the Singapore Grand Prix, a Universal Studio VIP Ticket, an Emporio Armani watch, and an ODEL gift voucher worth LKR 25,000. Also, all expenses are covered for this Singapore tour.

It was a pleasure, and honestly, a moment of shared joy to celebrate excellence together.

Words That Stayed With Me

During the evening, our CEO, Dasun Ariyarathna shared words that quietly defined the heart of Codimite. To put his message in my own words, Codimite began with very little, except a strong belief in one another. Every individual has added value along the way, and that collective strength is what defines Codimite.

As an employee, those words resonated deeply. They weren’t just said, they were reflected in every detail of the night.

CONNECT 2026 was not just a celebration. It was reassurance.
