Codimite Movie Day

The Codimite team took a break from coding and debugging to enjoy a movie day at Scope Cinemas, Colombo City Centre on the 02nd of August.

We booked the entire cinema hall for a private screening, ensuring an exclusive experience just for us. The movie of choice? After a spirited team poll, we settled on the suspense-filled “The Quiet Place: Day One,” a film where silence is survival.

As we settled into our seats, each of us was treated to popcorn in three irresistible flavors: cheese, caramel, and butter salt. The movie kept us on the edge of our seats. The tagline, “Make a sound and risk your life,” echoed in our minds, forcing silent screams with every scene. When the credits rolled, we were left in a mix of emotions – some wiped away tears, while others nervously joked about what they’d do in a real alien invasion.

After the movie, we took a few snapshots to capture the moment, immortalizing our reactions and the thrill of the experience. The cinema outing was just the beginning of our day.

But the fun didn’t end there. We headed over to Pizza Hut at Union Place to wrap up the day with a pizza party. We indulged in chilli chicken and sausage delight pizzas, washed down with Sprite – the perfect refreshment after a heart-pounding movie. It was the ideal way to wind down after such an intense film.

After we enjoyed our meal, we captured more moments, snapping photos that would later remind us of the laughter and conversations that followed.

Codimite’s movie day was more than just a break from work—it was a chance to bond, share some scares, and enjoy great food together. The day ended with full hearts and full stomachs, leaving us all looking forward to the next team outing.
