Codimite recently hosted Hackwave 2026, our flagship 24-hour internal hackathon designed to challenge ideas, accelerate innovation, and bring emerging technologies into real-world application.

What unfolded over the course of a single day was more than a coding competition. It was a high-intensity innovation sprint where 16 teams pushed boundaries, tested bold ideas, and transformed concepts into fully functional solutions. Hackwave 2026 reflected the very essence of Codimite's culture, curiosity-driven, execution-focused, and built on collaboration.

Hackwave 2026 was structured around a clear and ambitious mission: to build a solution impactful enough to earn a Google-level pitch. While the framework of the challenge was straightforward, the expectations placed on participants were intentionally high.

Teams of two to four members were given 24 continuous hours to design and develop a fully functional web application or extension using Gemini or Gemma integrated with Chrome/CEP. Participants were expected to move beyond mockups and presentation slides, focusing instead on delivering working prototypes that demonstrated technical depth, usability, and scalability.

By leveraging Gemini/Gemma alongside Chrome/CEP integration, teams engaged directly with cutting-edge AI capabilities while ensuring their solutions were practical and ready for real-world implementation.

Ultimately, Hackwave 2026 was not about building quickly for the sake of speed, but about building thoughtfully, strategically, and with clear purpose.

Throughout the day and into the night, teams progressed through critical development stages:

Today's AI tools can instantly generate answers, code snippets, and solutions. While powerful, this convenience can unintentionally limit deeper learning and skill development, particularly for new developers.

SkillArmor reimagined this dynamic.

Instead of offering quick fixes, the platform enforces knowledge discovery. It guides developers to understand problems at a foundational level before accessing AI-generated assistance. By embedding learning checkpoints and structured exploration, SkillArmor ensures mastery rather than dependency.

The solution leveraged:

• Google CEP integration to restrict shortcut-based AI bypass mechanisms
